About the Provider

Dr. Guzel is a distinguished, board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has served the greater Houston area since 2007. He completed advanced postgraduate training in the United States with an orthopedic oncology fellowship at the world-renowned MD Anderson Cancer Center, followed by a trauma fellowship at UT Health McGovern Medical School. During his residency at the University of Texas Department of Orthopedics, he cultivated a focused experience in arthroscopy and joint replacement.

Dr. Guzel began his career at Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic before joining UT Physicians, where he served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics. Since 2018, he has returned to private practice, where he is dedicated to delivering highly personalized, advanced orthopedic care, aiming to provide precision, innovation and exceptional patient outcomes.

Dr. Guzel specializes in the comprehensive management of sports-related injuries, advanced joint replacement of the shoulder, hip and knee, minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee and fracture care—all with the goal of delivering precision-driven treatment tailored to help restore mobility, performance and quality of life.

Dr. Guzel is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip & Knee Surgeons, reflecting his ongoing commitment to the highest standards of orthopedic care, continuing education and advancement of surgical practice.
